We are pleased to welcome Marianne Carpenter to The Monkton Farleigh Osteopathic Practice, who will be replacing Lucy Jones whilst she is on maternity leave. We wish Lucy all the very best with the birth of her first child – so exciting!

Marianne graduated from The European School of Osteopathy in 2015 with a first class Masters in Osteopathy. She was awarded the Year prize for the top graduate from the ESO and the 2015 Rising Star Award from the Institute of Osteopathy. She has since gained a wide range experience in several Osteopathic practices and also enjoys lecturing Anatomy at Swansea Medical School.

Marianne has a particular interest in the Osteopathic treatment of Migraines and Headaches and is currently carrying out some related research. She also enjoys treating non Musculoskeletal conditions such as Irritable Bowel Syndrome. We welcome her expertise in these all too common conditions and are looking forward to her delivering some lectures on these topics – all are welcome to attend.

Marianne uses a wide range of treatment techniques, including Structural, Cranial and Visceral Osteopathy as well as Medical Acupuncture. This allows her to treat all ages from babies to the elderly and provides flexibility when tackling stubborn conditions.

Outside work Marianne has grown up with a love for horse riding and has competed to national level in dressage, modern pentathlon and tetrathlon. She is currently training with Bath Amphibians triathlon club. Marianne therefore understands all about injury, prevention and the need for rehabilitation!

” Marianne is truly amazing – I had tennis elbow and neck problems for some months – but after a few sessions I was pain free and able to get on with life, sleeping better and just feeling more positive – I cannot recommend her highly enough ” Christine Budd
